Atrium Health Lake Norman
Opened in July 2025, Atrium Health welcomed its first patients to the health system’s newest hospital, Atrium Health Lake Norman. The 170,000 square-foot-foot facility located in Cornelius, N.C., now provides world-class care close to home for residents and visitors of northern Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas. Equipped to treat a variety of patients and illnesses, Atrium Health Lake Norman offers access to a brand-new emergency department open 24 hours a day, seven days a week; a state-of-the-art labor and delivery floor; operating and procedure rooms; laboratory and an on-site pharmacy. Numerous philanthropic opportunities exist to support this state-of-the-art facility.
Atrium Health Pineville
Since first opening its doors in 1987, Atrium Health Pineville has offered a personal brand of caring to southern Mecklenburg, York, and Lancaster counties. Recognized as a top destination for care, the leading-edge hospital offers open-heart surgery as part of the advanced cardiovascular program and innovative cancer care, including surgical and radiation oncology. Patients also have access to other highly specialized services such as robotic surgery, pediatric urology, and neurosurgery.

Atrium Health University
Since 1985, Atrium Health University City, a 130-bed hospital, has provided a range of healthcare services in University City, Mint Hill, North Mecklenburg and Southwest Cabarrus regions in North Carolina, including 24/7 emergency care and an award-winning maternity center. Through year-round philanthropic support, donors help Atrium Health University City fulfill its mission of delivering advanced, personalized care to our region.
Atrium Health Union
Atrium Health Union is a 182-bed hospital in Monroe, NC, providing comprehensive emergency services and specialty medical care. The campus offers a variety of medical services, including a day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, specialty care clinics, a community wellness and outreach program, a women and children’s center, interventional heart program and physician practices. With the support of philanthropy, Atrium Health Union continues to add new services and more specialized physicians and programs to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community.
Atrium Health Union West
Atrium Health Union West opened in 2022 and serves as an extension of Atrium Health Union, bringing high-quality and convenient access to care for the residents of Western Union County and surrounding communities.
The new, cutting-edge hospital campus, located at the intersection of Highway 74 and Stallings Road in Union County, is home to 40 acute care beds, 10 emergency department bays, three operating rooms, imaging and lab services, and a 67,000-square-foot medical office building with physician practices.

Atrium Health Mercy
Atrium Health Mercy, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, has treated patients with a special combination of human compassion and leading-edge expertise for more than 100 years. As a full-service community hospital, it specializes in senior care, complex foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee surgery, bariatric surgery, and women’s pelvic health. The hospital is committed to delivering person-centered care, as demonstrated by its Planetree certification, which recognizes hospitals for their focus on compassionate, holistic treatment. This commitment to compassionate care and teamwork has made Atrium Health Mercy a trusted cornerstone of the community for over a century.
