For 18 straight years, Susan Sollenberger, Kyle Mitchell and the Food Lion Store Development Department have hosted the prestigious Wormburner Open at Old North State Club. As leaders of one of the most successful charity golf tournaments around, Susan and Kyle have helped raise over $1.4 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Levine Children’s Hospital! The 18th Wormburner Open, held on May 19 at Old North State Club, was attended by developers and real estate professionals from all over the country. On hand to thank Food Lion and all the golfers was Levine Children’s Hospital patient, Parks Harris, and family. Parks was diagnosed with leukemia in 2012, but that hasn’t stopped him from working towards his Eagle Boy Scout rank and pursuing his love of fishing. Thanks to Susan and Kyle and all the Wormburner Open supporters for 18 years of miracles!
