As we anticipate the arrival of 2022, we see a glimmer of hope.
And that’s often all it takes to inspire one person to overcome adversity or to bring people together to make a difference. At Atrium Health Foundation, we see it every day… in the smile of a patient who has access to a novel treatment; the courage of a medical team performing a life-saving surgery; the resilience of our researchers and educators; and in the dedication of our generous community advocates.
Your gifts give hope to patients like Lauren:
Nikki and Densel never imagined that their daughter Lauren would be born 3.5 months early, weighing only 2 pounds and 1 ounce. Lauren was treated in the NICU at Levine Children’s Hospital for respiratory distress and underwent multiple surgeries related to a damaged vocal cord and a heart defect. After five agonizing months of visiting their daughter at the hospital, Lauren’s parents were finally able to bring her home.
Today, Lauren is a senior at Marvin Ridge High School and is setting school records as a standout student athlete. Her family will always hold gratitude for the care team that provided life-saving medical care and comfort when they needed it most.
Consistently ranked as a Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, Levine Children’s Hospital provides expert neonatal care, helping make new beginnings possible for the tiniest and most fragile patients. This holiday season, help build a brighter future for patients treated at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital.
