Each summer, a quaint neighborhood garden in the Historic Fourth Ward of Uptown Charlotte is transformed by the magic and talent of Charlotte filmmakers, producers, writers and directors who share their talents with supporters of the Joedance Film Festival. Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Children’s Hospital is thankful for community friends like Joedance who help advance local pediatric oncology programs and services.
Formed in 2010 to honor the life of Joe Restaino, Joedance Film Festival has quickly become a household name in local film and philanthropic circles. By raising funds for local pediatric cancer research, Joedance has enabled Levine Children’s Hospital to introduce novel cancer therapies such as Healios, a flavored mouth wash that lessens the severity of mouth sores for chemotherapy patients. Healios has been a tremendous breakthrough for local and regional cancer patients, and would not have been possible without the generous support from Joedance! We are grateful for Diane, Mike and everyone at Joedance for helping advance pediatric cancer care for families at Levine Children’s Hospital.
