On March 1, Dr. Amy Sobel, section chief of Charlotte Radiology breast services, will participate in Charlotte Ballet’s Dancing with the Stars of Charlotte Gala. This event partners community volunteers with professional dancers to raise funds for Charlotte Ballet and a community cause. Given Dr. Sobel’s passion for breast cancer patients, she chose Atrium HealthLevine Cancer’s Project PINK as her charity of choice. Dr. Sobel will be dancing with Maurice Mouzon Jr.

Project PINK’s Impact:
Thanks to generous donors, Project PINK continues to provide uninsured and underinsured women in our community access to life-saving breast cancer screening and diagnostic mammography. A partnership between Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute and Charlotte Radiology, this vital program serves over 1,300 women each year through more than 35 mobile mammography screening days across our area. An estimated 75% of women served have never had a mammogram or are past due for one.
