On October 14, more than 1,100 runners, walkers, and Levine Children’s Hospital supporters laced up their running shoes for the 22nd Annual Hopebuilders 5K, the signature fundraising event benefiting Levine Children’s Hospital. With the generous support of Presenting Sponsor, Barings (team pictured above), and top corporate fundraising teams from UTC Aerospace Systems (pictured below), as well as many other community partners, donors, and volunteers, the Hopebuilders 5K raised net proceeds of over $200,000. 
Significant support for the Hopebuilders 5K is also credited to event sponsors: Michael A. DeMayo, Octapharma Plasma, Parent Financial, Bayada Home Health Care, Cannon Pharmacy, and Charlotte Mothers of Multiples, as well as corporate team, Marriott South Park.
CHS Gives Back
Among the event’s top community supporters were members of several CHS-led teams including: Team IDEA (led by team captain Niraj Patel, MD, pictured on stage); Team cCMV (led by Amina Ahmed, MD), Team Family Futures (CMC Women’s Institute); All About That Pace (Levine Children’s Hospital’s Progressive Care Unit); CHS Young Professionals (CHS System Resource Group); KIDney Krusaders (Pediatric Nephrology Center of Excellence); Pulmonary Superheroes (Dennis Schellhase, MD); Respiratory is One in a Minion (LCH Respiratory Care Team); Team Michaels; and the Xtreme Hikers (led by Marc Dy, MD).
