On Valentine’s weekend, in freezing weather, more than 600 runners and walkers participated in the 12th Annual Cupid’s Cup 5K and 1 Mile Walk benefiting Carolinas HealthCare System’s cardiac rehabilitation programs at Carolinas HealthCare System–Pineville, Union, and SouthPark. Starting and ending outside of Carolinas Medical Center–Myers Park, participants enjoyed a scenic course through Charlotte’s historic Dilworth neighborhood. Raising $30,000, Cupid’s Cup provides valuable funding for patient education, outreach, and scholarships at Carolinas HealthCare System’s Cardiac Rehabilitation programs. This successful fundraiser also covers the cost for uninsured patients to attend up to 36 rehabilitation sessions to manage their cardiovascular health.
