More than 1,300 supporters build HOPE for kids at Levine Children’s Hospital, raising $225,000

On October 18, under clear blue skies, more than 1,300 runners, walkers, stroller-joggers, and community supporters gathered the Hopebuilders 5K Run and Stroller Roller 5K benefiting Levine Children’s Hospital. Now in its 19th year, Hopebuilders brings hope for a healthy future to children across the Carolinas. For nearly two decades, families and friends have joined Hopebuilders in honor or memory of special children in their lives, raising millions to support children’s healthcare. From humble beginnings, Hopebuilders has evolved into the premier fundraising event for Levine Children’s Hospital.

Babson Capital Management LLC, the Hopebuilders 5K Presenting Sponsor since 2008, again led the charge, raising more than $40,000 through team fundraising efforts in addition to their sponsorship. Parent Financial, Presenting Sponsor of the 3rd Annual Stroller Roller 5K, was also among the leading corporate supporters who helped bring total net proceeds from the event to more than $225,000 for 2014.

The outpouring of support from sponsors, teams, and individual fundraisers is a heart-warming testament to the surrounding community’s compassion for our children’s health and well-being.
