Norsan Media’s “Milagros Para Los Niños” Radiothon Raises $145,000 For Levine Children’s Hospital
Thanks to generous community support, Radiothon “Milagros Para Los Niños” – held by Norsan Media and broadcast on La Raza 106.1 – raised $145,000 for Levine Children’s Hospital, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Donations will fund critical equipment, services, research and charitable care to save and improve the lives of children in the Charlotte region.
Now in its sixth year, the radiothon was broadcast live from the hospital’s Ryan Seacrest Studios. La Raza 106.1 Hispanic listeners were moved by stories of hope shared by families of former and current patients from the Hispanic community. On-air favorites like La Raza’s popular morning show hosts on Los Hijos de la Mañana, and Alex Ruiz, also motivated listeners to call in donations to the hospital.
“Levine Children’s Hospital helps many Hispanic children, which is one of the many reasons we continue to support this world-class hospital,” said Mr. Norberto Sanchez, CEO of Norsan Media. “Our loyal listeners and dedicated team at Norsan have been crucial to the success of our radiothon, as well as the great team at the Hospital.”
The record fundraising total of the 2017 Radiothon signifies the continued growth of the broadcast, which garnered a 28% increase in charitable contributions over last year’s fundraising total and has grown tremendously since the company’s partnership with Levine Children’s Hospital began in 2011.
“Norsan Media is passionate about their fundraising, and they have a phenomenal connection with their audience,” said Mark Griffith, AVP at Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, the charitable administrator for Levine Children’s Hospital. “We thank Norsan Media and its listeners for their steadfast commitment to children’s health.”
