Joe Restaino was diagnosed in 2006 with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, in his left leg. After enduring a leg-salvaging surgery, two different rounds of chemotherapy protocols, and four lung surgeries, he passed away in January 2010 at the age of 20. Today, Joe’s legacy is carried on by his loved ones and dedicated supporters of pediatric cancer research.
The Joedance Pediatric Cancer Fund supports research and clinical trials conducted at Atrium Health Levine Children’s for pediatric sarcomas, blastomas, and brain tumors. Our goal is to find better treatments with better outcomes for children and young adults with cancer.
