He has served as President and CEO of Morris-Jenkins, and today is an owner in the Wrench Group, one of America’s largest and premier groups of home service companies.

About Me

A native of Lincolnton, NC, Kimberly has been an integral part of the civic and business communities of the Greater Charlotte area for 20+ years. Since 2021, she has served as executive director of The David and Nicole Tepper Foundation, where she guides philanthropic advice and executes initiatives for the Teppers (owners of the NFL Carolina Panthers and the MLS Charlotte FC). Kimberly also leads all operations and administration for the organization, including budget and fiduciary responsibilities, and works closely with the Teppers and board to garner continued support and guidance on high-impact, large-scale programs. She coordinates with Bank of America Stadium, Panthers, and FC outreach teams to align all Tepper-owned initiatives.

Kimberly graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor's degree in journalism and public relations. Kimberly began her sports and entertainment career in 2002, holding roles in marketing, communications, and community relations with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, NBA Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets), and Lowe's corporate office. From 2012 to 2020, she was executive director of the Cam Newton Foundation, overseeing strategy, program development, fundraising, and partnerships.

She serves as Director of Development for Baby Bundles, where she leads fundraising strategy, resource development, and donor engagement to support families with newborns in need. Vanessa also has a meaningful history with Atrium Health, inspired by her daughter’s vision to bring joy to pediatric patients through Lights for Levine Children’s, a program that brightens hospital rooms during the holiday season. She is passionate about advancing organizations that provide critical care and compassionate support to families, babies, and children across Charlotte.

She is passionate about serving and giving back to her community, particularly in education and youth development. Crystal actively serves on the boards of organizations focused on empowering and supporting young people.

Tina Early has been a dedicated member of the Charlotte community since 1985. An entrepreneur at heart, she founded a wholesale bakery in 1988 and currently owns and serves as President of E2 Mechanical & Industrial Refrigeration, one of the largest woman-owned HVAC and refrigeration contractors in the Carolinas. Tina has a long history of giving back, serving on boards that support education, the arts, sports, and programs that uplift those in need. Proud to serve on the Levine Children's Hospital Board of Ambassadors, she passionately advocates for its mission and champions the health of every child.

Steve DeGeorge has been a passionate supporter of children's health and cancer research since 2001, when his daughter Nicole was diagnosed with leukemia. Nicole's treatment was successful, and Nicole is now employed as a Child Life Specialist at LCH. Steve was a founding board member of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte.

Dr. Craig Greene is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric cardiology. He is the medical director of strategic growth and planning at Atrium Health Levine Children's Congenital Heart Center. He has been named a Charlotte magazine Top Doctor.

"I enjoy caring for children, and I love cardiac anatomy and physiology," says Craig. "It is rewarding to be part of a team that helps children born with congenital heart defects and supports their families." Dr. Greene received his bachelor's degree at Wofford College and his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed residency in pediatrics at Prisma Health and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina.

As the interim chair of cardiovascular & cardiothoracic surgery at Atrium Health's Levine Children's and Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. Thomas Maxey's primary focus is heart surgery in children and adults with congenital heart disease. His clinical interests include congenital heart disease, ventricular reconstruction and heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical support. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Maxey also serves as Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery.

Dr. Nicholson oversees all of our pediatric physicians and practices, including Levine Children's Hospital and Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital. In addition to his role as president of our children's service line, Dr. Nicholson is also the Sarah H. Bissell and Howard C. Bissell Endowed Chair in Pediatrics. Nationally, he serves on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Pediatrics and is the immediate past chair of its pediatric hematology/oncology sub-board. Dr. Nicholson's previous leadership experience includes his roles as physician in chief at Phoenix Children's Hospital and the pediatric department chair at Oregon Health & Science University. He is a national leader in pediatrics and has led a variety of education initiatives and research programs, including publishing clinical trials on pediatric oncology and cancer survivorship studies.

Joey and Amy Norman are the proud parents of three children, including Miller (7), who was born with a rare genetic disorder. Their journey with Levine Children’s began shortly after his birth, and they credit the exceptional doctors and care team with saving his life. Since then, the Normans have remained deeply involved with Levine Children’s and are strong advocates within the rare disease community. Joey serves on the board of Ward’s Foundation, where both he and Amy actively volunteer their time and energy. They are passionate about supporting other families facing similar challenges and are dedicated to raising awareness for rare diseases.

About Me

Dr. Javier Oesterheld is helping to lead our ongoing pursuit of better treatments for childhood cancer. In 2017, he was named the first Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation Endowed Chair, a role that supports his mission to improve lives and outcomes of pediatric cancer patients in our region. He's also the principal investigator for Carolinas Kids Cancer Research Coalition, in conjunction with the developmental therapeutics program at Levine Children's Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Oesterheld is the study chair or site principal investigator for multiple clinical research studies into acute leukemia, high-grade non-Hodgkin leukemia, acute myelogenous leukemia, and refractory pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He is the founder and Executive Director of the ARISE Cancer Consortium™, headquartered at Atrium Health Levine Children's in Charlotte. His research has been published in top journals and has led to lecture invitations across the country.

Dan Rajkowski, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Charlotte Knights, has been an influential member of the Charlotte community since 2005.

A 40-year veteran of the baseball business, Rajkowski has operated clubs at all classifications of Minor League Baseball and has been honored with several awards over his career. His implementation of Atrium Health's annual Winning Moments at Truist field have garnered national recognition and he has continually provided the Charlotte community with significant involvement in supporting our local non-profits. Dan has been a longtime member of the Levine Children's Hospital Board of Ambassadors.

Kourosh Sharifi is the CFO of RE/MAX Executive and has called Charlotte home since 2005. He has supported Levine Children’s Hospital since 2008 and served on the Ambassadors Board since 2015. Under his leadership, RE/MAX Executive agents and staff have raised over $1.5 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the Carolinas.

Tim currently serves as the Healthcare Operations Manager for McKenney's, Inc. In this role he is passionate about advancing access to quality healthcare in rural communities. Growing up and currently residing in a rural area has fueled this passion. Tim previously served as the public policy and advocacy chair for the Charlotte Alliance Young Professionals Board, is an active member of the Metrolina Minority Contractors Association, supports the Carolinas Youth Coalition and regularly volunteers his time and energy to serve Levine Children's Hospital. Tim and his colleagues at McKenney's have been proud supporters of the Atrium Health Foundation for over 10 years.

Caroline Winslett is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Ward's Foundation, inspired by her family's journey with rare disease. Through the foundation, she supports children and families navigating complex medical challenges and advances partnerships in clinical care and research. She is especially proud of the foundation's partnership with Levine Children's Hospital, where both organizations work to expand services and resources for rare disease patients. A fourth-generation Charlottean, Caroline is deeply committed to her community and also serves on the Board of the Duke Mansion & Lee Institute and as Executive Director of the William B. McGuire Jr. Family Foundation, which promotes philanthropy across Charlotte and beyond.
