Showmars

In celebration of their 30 year anniversary, Showmars chose to give
back to their community. The Charlotte-based restaurant chain donated
$300,000 to Levine Children's Hospital's Partnership for Pediatric
Hearts. The Partnership for Pediatric Hearts is a group dedicated to
supporting local pediatric cardiac care, including the new Pediatric
Congenital Heart Program. "For the past 30 years Showmars has
experienced an astonishing amount of support and we are extremely
grateful to our friends, family and community. To celebrate our 30th
anniversary we want to continue to give back to our community and we
are honored to partner with the Levine Children's Hospital," said the
Showmars Team.

Showmars serves fresh, made-to-order Greek, Southern and American
food fast in a casual, family-friendly environment. Founded in Charlotte
in 1982, Showmars has proudly served the southeast for 30 years.

Maeve's Miracle

On July 27, 2011, during a routine check-up, doctors discovered that two-year-old Maeve Payton had a hole in her heart. Although she had no symptoms, Maeve
was diagnosed with a congenital heart disorder. She was admitted to Levine Children's Hospital (LCH) and treated immediately. Thanks to support from the
Partnership for Pediatric Hearts, children like Maeve have access to the latest technology and resources – right in this community.

Over the past year, Maeve has passed every check-up with flying colors. Her mother, Theresa, calls Maeve, "an answer to so many prayers." Theresa attributes
Maeve's remarkable recovery to the caregivers at LCH and prayer and support groups that helped her family throughout the entire process.
