Through nearly two decades of partnership, Eastwood Homes has generously donated more than $1.8 million to advance pediatric care at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. That support includes significant funding to help launch Seacrest Studios in 2013 and sustain the joyful programming it delivers to patients each day.
Most recently, the company contributed an unprecedented $195,000 to Levine Children’s through the 13th Annual Eastwood Golf Classic, presented by Brilin Electric. Held each September at Springfield Golf Club in Fort Mill, S.C., the tournament pairs Eastwood Homes employees with vendor partners for a day of friendly competition and meaningful impact.
“As a local homebuilder, we are so proud and grateful to be a part of something right here in our local community,” said Bryan DeGabrielle, Charlotte division president of Eastwood Homes. “We have seen the impact of the hospital through stories from our employees and our vendor partners, and during our visits to the hospital. It warms our hearts to be able to make an impact like this.”
The gift supported a highly anticipated renovation of Seacrest Studios that upgraded technology and introduced a more inclusive design so every child can fully participate. Since opening in 2013, the in-house multimedia TV and radio broadcast center has provided therapeutic distraction with game shows, celebrity interviews, and live performances streamed directly to patient rooms.
The impact continues to grow. In 2025, 830 patients called into the studio from their hospital rooms to answer trivia questions, request songs, and engage on air — marking a significant increase in bedside participation. Hospitalized behavioral health patients — whose ability to attend in-person activities may be limited — also benefited from the studio’s programming, which provides a safe, interactive, and engaging way to connect with others and enjoy fun, educational content.
“Seacrest Studios brings a sense of normalcy and joy to patients at Levine Children’s Hospital through closed-circuit televisions that broadcast all types of programming,” shared Erin Oliveira, development officer at Atrium Health Foundation. “It is truly like the living room of our hospital, where kids get to be kids.”

The renovated space includes several key improvements:
- Technological improvements: A full technical revamp brought the studio’s TV and radio equipment up to current industry standards, enhancing production quality and elevating the on-air experience for patients.
- An inclusive & accessible space: An adjustment to the microphone desk significantly improved wheelchair clearance, while built-in storage seating created a more flexible, comfortable space for kids and families.
- Enhanced overhead features: Colorful acoustic sound clouds brighten the studio and add a vibrant visual element. New studio lighting ensures every on-camera moment is beautifully captured.
