Carolinas Rehabilitation is one of the largest not-for-profit rehabilitation healthcare providers in the nation, providing the full continuum of care from acute inpatient rehabilitation to extensive outpatient physician and therapy services. Carolinas Rehabilitation strives to achieve a threefold mission:
- To care for people with disabilities;
- To offer specialized training for physicians and other healthcare providers;
- To conduct original research to minimize the impact of disabling illnesses and trauma.
Building on a Legacy of Innovation:
In 2023, Carolinas Rehabilitation opened the David L. Conlan Center, a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital made possible through transformational philanthropy. Today, that spirit of innovation continues with the David L. Conlan Pathway to Independence — a first-of-its-kind therapeutic garden designed to help patients rebuild strength, confidence, and independence through immersive, nature-integrated rehabilitation experiences. Through philanthropic support, this transformational project will extend healing beyond hospital walls and create a destination for hope, recovery, and resilience for generations to come.
